Ben Pugh:

President, Head Brewer, Operations Manager
With a background as a mechanic and with over 12 years of brewing experience, it’s an understatement to say Ben understands the nuts and bolts of the brewing industry. Ben started his first brewery, Eclectic Ales, now his brewing equipment sales company in 2014 under the Rock N Dough Pizza franchise in Jackson, TN. A few years of commuting two hours a day took its toll and Ben started looking a little closer to home for his dream brewery. “An idea is just an idea if you can’t follow through with the execution.” You can find Ben meddling with the equipment, behind the bar or scrubbing out the kettle.
Richie Esquivel:

Co-owner, Brewer, Marketing
It all began with sierra Nevada pale ale and a Mr. Beer kit. Richie started home brewing in 2009 with a copy of the Complete Joy of Home Brewing (a gift from his wife) and a kit from Walgreens. Eight years later the toys are bigger and so are the batches. Richie left his job in sales and customer service for the brewery life in 2016 where he took a job as a brewer with Bosco’s Brewing company in Memphis, TN. “My passion and my purpose are my family first and foremost” says Richie. “But I love the science and art that is brewing, it’s what keeps me young at heart.” You can find Richie at events, in the taproom and shoveling grain in the brewery.
Skyler Windsor Cummings:

Sales, Marketing
Skyler comes to us from decades as a bar and restaurant manager as well as a sales rep for a local beer distributor. With a never ending stream of ideas and experience it didn’t take long for him to become a member of our family. You can find Skyler around town selling beer, at events talking about the brand and occasionally in the taproom hanging out.
Sydnie Nickelson:

Taproom Manager, Events
Sydnie hails from the service industry. Years of slinging drinks behind the bar and waiting tables makes her a force to be reckoned with. She is also great at booking events, food trucks, and all around conversation. Sydnie loves big barrel aged beers and high grav IPAs. You can find Sydnie behind the bar most days or at select events around town.
Chris Hamlett:

Brewer/Digital Editor
Born in Texas and coming to us from Central Louisiana, Chris decided the Memphis humidity was a little more appealing than the CenLa type. Chris plays folk/roots music when he’s not helping to create our beers or pour up perfect pints for our taproom guests. A long history of work in the service industry combined with his passion for craft beer makes him a great addition to the Meddlesome team.
Jut Taylor:
Brewer/Head Antagonist
With over six years of brewing experience in the Memphis area under his belt, Jut brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. His sharp wit and love of metal makes him a perfect fit for our team. He loves experimenting with new flavors and expanding beyond the “norm” of traditional beer. If you’ve ever stopped by the patio and heard full volume death metal coming out of our speakers, odds are, Jut is on the clock.
Sally Peterson:
Bartender
Sally is the most recent addition to our “front of house” team. After working various jobs in the service industry, she decided that craft beer was where she really wanted to cut her teeth. With a tremendous eagerness to explore all aspects of the industry and an energy that is absolutely contagious, she makes a great addition to the company!
